Admission fees

Admission is free during scheduled opening hours but visitors are encouraged to support PORTICO’s work in conserving local heritage and promoting the arts by making a donation of £5 per head.

Much of PORTICO’s archive material is accessed through a tablet computer. Whilst these are provided free of charge, visitors will be required to leave their driving license or a credit card with reception until the tablet is safely returned.

Portico has a film screen and state of the art projector for screening films and can obtain most films. Due to the cost of obtaining film licenses (around £100 per screening) groups requiring film screenings must provide a minimum number of 20 people at £5 per head.
