MusicThe Linley Hamilton Quartet

This tour celebrates the coming together of two of the great forces in American jazz music, bassist Mark Egan and drummer Adam Nussbaum with two of Ireland’s most prominent jazz artists, Dublin pianist Cian Boylan and Belfast trumpeter Linley Hamilton.

Individually these artists have worked with the likes of Van Morrison, Gregory Porter, Stan Getz, Mike Walker and Bill Evans. Linley is a musician, BBC Radio Ulster Jazz broadcaster, lecturer in Music at Ulster University and a regular on the Irish scene. Cian has performed and recorded with a huge variety of artists over a twenty year career, and has been involved as a composer/arranger for the Bafta award winning BBC series Ripper Street. Considered one of the finest drummers working today, Adam Nussbaum featured on Michael Brecker’sGrammy winning album ‘Don't try this at Home”. Likewise, Mark has featured on a number of Grammy award winning and nominated albums and platinum records and toured with Pat Metheny.
The quartet will perform a mix of modern jazz and original music, much of which has been composed and arranged for the quartet by Linley and Cian. Expect an evening of entertaining, exciting and high-energy music.

As fine a balladeer as any, Hamilton also possesses tremendous technical chops
