Sun 31 May

Following the latest advice from the government, we have decided to cancel or postpone all concerts up to the end of June. We want our staff, performers and visitors to stay healthy. As doctors and scientists are now recommending that everyone avoids social gatherings it would be wrong of us not to suspend all of our events in order to play our part in halting the spread of the virus. We will be in touch with anyone who holds a ticket to a cancelled or postponed event. Please be patient as we try to negotiate new dates - our heads are spinning too!

Can you help?

This has an enormous impact on the talented people who come to perform on our stage, our staff and volunteers, all the people who come to enjoy our events and all the local businesses that depend on our events bringing visitors to Portaferry. However, as a charity that depends on our events to remain solvent, it's financially very hard for us to close - we receive no on-going core funding from the Arts Council: we survive primarily from what we make from running our events and from your support. If you are able to help it would make a huge difference to us if you would consider making a donation to keep Portico going until normal conditions return. If you want to help click 'Get a ticket' and Eventbrite will ask you to specify your donation amount - thank you!

Our thoughts are with everyone who is being affected by this situation and we pass on our very best wishes to all of you – keep safe and take care.

We look forward to welcoming you back. Soon, we hope.

Verity and Neil and everyone at Portico
