Any young people keen to perform?

Do you remember when the fabulous Dea Matrona came to Portaferry - all still in their teens?! Well, we’d like to do our bit locally and encourage local teenagers to have a go at performing.

We’ve run ‘Rock School’ in the past (Covid put an end to that but hoping to get it back up and running soon) and that always ends with a concert for friends and family… but what about the older ones that aren’t kids at all but young people?

Or are there any music teachers out there that have got what it takes to motivate, develop and inspire young people in music? Maybe this already happens in local youth clubs or schools?

Are there any local young bands or singer-songwriters that would be interested in a showcase or competition?
