Can we have a party or reception after the event in Portico?
Yes you can.
What about catering?
We don’t do catering ourselves but we work with a range of partners. Tell us your needs and we can suggest the right partner. If you want a ‘sit down meal’ you can use the Orr Room, or, for more than ten people, we can put a marquee outside or use the ‘National School’ church hall across the road.
Is alcohol allowed?
We are not licensed to sell alcohol but you can bring your own.
Can you sort out flowers?
Yes we can. Talk to us about your wishes and budget and we will organise the rest.
How much will it cost?
Obviously it depends on what extras you want, but the flat fee to use the building for up to 4 hours is £250.
What about burials?
Just north of Portaferry, set amid rolling green hills and mature woodland, is Ballymanish Cemetery. Opened in the late 1800s and owned and maintained by the local Presbyterian congregation, it is available for anyone to use whatever their origin or belief.
