FREE CLASSICAL CONCERT OF PIANO DUETS WITH CORALINE CUENOT AND AMANDINE SAVARY

Sunday 22 May at 3pm

We want to welcome back our classical audience with a gorgeous Sunday afternoon concert of piano duets by the acclaimed pianists Amandine Savary and Coraline Cuenot.

It’s a charming and accessible programme perfect for regulars or returners or completely fresh faces who’ve always wanted to give classical music a go.

Not sure what the music is? Here’s a nibbler’s guide to their programme for four hands:

Ravel - Ma Mere l’Oye

Written to delight children, these five short pieces are from the ballet of the fairytale of Mother Goose.

Stravinsky - The Rite of Spring

Another piece written for the ballet, this is based on Russian folk music.

Brahms - A Selection of Waltzes

Clue’s in the title! (Dancing in the aisles permitted!)

Debussy - Petite Suite

Not about a small sofa (!) but based on poems about 19th century aristocrats on a countryside outing and sailing on a lake with romantic liaisons on their mind…
